More than 200 runners and walkers took part in the fifth annual Run for Hope 5K at Catherine McAuley High School on May 14. Boston’s Tommy Nagy was the top finisher (18 minutes, 32 seconds). South Portland’s Marjorie Haney was the fastest female (19:56). The top student finisher was Becca Kaiser (21:03). The event raised more than $15,000 for the Jim and Maxine Pouravelis Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to young women seeking a McAuley education.
