WHITEFIELD — Steven A. Joslyn Sr., 59, died April 21 at Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston on June 2, 1952, a son of Eldon G. and Louise M. Joslyn Sr.

He worked at Bath Iron Works, in the woods, dug worms and clams, sea urchined and lobstered. He loved fishing, ice fishing, hunting and most of all, family gatherings.

Joslyn is survived by his mother, Louise M. Joslyn, of Manchester; five sons, Danny Peaslee and his wife, Jackie, of Woolwich, Bobby Peaslee and his wife, Ronda, of Whitefield, Steven Joslyn Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Thomaston, James Curtis and his wife, Elizabeth, of Dresden and Michael Joslyn and his wife, Rachel, of Whitefield; daughter Leanne Inman and her husband, Michael, of Raymond; brothers Eldon “Gabby” Joslyn and his wife, Faye, of Winsor, Gary Joslyn and his wife, Debbie, of Wiscasset and Jay Joslyn and his wife, Diane, of Augusta; sisters Gloria Giguere and her husband, Joseph, of Oakland, Sandra Lamontagne and her husband, George, of Winsor, Linda Cram and her husband, Stanley, of Manchester and Rena Swift and her husband, Carroll, of Jefferson; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Joslyn’s life will be held at 11 a.m. April 28 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Woolwich Grange Hall, Route 1, Woolwich. Burial will follow at Whitefield Cemetery in Whitefield.
