Julia Sterling, who led North Yarmouth Academy’s field hockey program to a pair of state titles in an eight-year tenure between 2003-10, is returning to the program to replace Tracy Quimby, who recently stepped down after four seasons. The Panthers reached the Western C semifinals in 2014.
“Over the years, I’ve been able to watch Julia from a distance as she worked her craft with the young ladies fortunate enough to have been coached by her,” said NYA athletic director Jack Hardy. “Her love for the game and her student-athletes is always prevalent. It’s great to now be directly associated with this wonderful coach.”
