FALMOUTH — Police cordoned off an area near Town Landing on Thursday, March 5, after the Fire Department received a call from a woman who threatened to kill her boyfriend and herself, Detective Tom Brady said.
For more than two hours, officers kept neighbors inside their homes and used some of those homes to operate from as they made cell phone contact with the woman, Brady said.
Eventually, they were able to get in touch with a friend of the woman, who came to the scene and helped persuade her to come out of her house.
After the women emerged, she was transported to a hospital for evaluation. Police were unable to find a weapon and they discovered no one had been in the house with the woman.
