South Portland’s Danielle McCusker, a junior forward at Central Maine Community College in Auburn recently surpassed the 1,000 career point plateau in a game vs. the University of Maine-Machias. McCusker became only the third women’s basketball player at CMCC to eclipse this mark, joining former USCAA All-Americans Ashley Swett and Lynn Girouard. McCusker is averaging 14.7 points per game this season while shooting 49.4 percent from the floor and recently helped the Mustangs clinch a conference title.
