Freeport announces first day practice schedule

The first day of fall practice at Freeport High School is Monday, Aug. 15. Boys’ soccer will practice from 7:30 to 11 a.m. on the soccer field. Girls’ soccer goes from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on the soccer field. Field hockey practices from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on its field. Cross country meets from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in front of the high school. Golf meets at 3:30 p.m. at Freeport Country Club. Cheering meets from 4 to 6 p.m. in the school cafe. Football players pick up their equipment and pads Sunday at 6 p.m. and meets Monday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. at Pownal Road Recreation Field. Freeport coach openings

RSU5 has several coaching openings for the upcoming school year. Freeport High School is looking for a girls’ first team soccer coach and a girls’ first team basketball coach. At Freeport Middle School, there are openings for boys’ 8th grade soccer, girls’ 8th grade soccer, girls’ 7th grade basketball and assistant football.
