Local standouts named to track All-State team
Falmouth’s Matt Polewaczyk was recently named to the Maine Track and Cross Country Coaches Association boys’ All-State first-team. North Yarmouth Academy’s Henry Quesada and Yarmouth’s Luke Laverdiere were honorable mentions. Yarmouth’s Emma Egan was named to the girls’ first-team. Falmouth’s Lydia Farmer and Malaika Pasch and Greely’s Alyssa Coyne and Katherine Leggat-Barr were honorable mentions.
Falmouth soccer registration open
Falmouth Youth Soccer Association is accepting online registrations for players ages 8 to 14 for the upcoming fall season. Early registration goes from April 1-15. FMI, falmouthsoccer.org.

Volleyball clinic upcoming
Maine Juniors volleyball is hosting an introductory clinic Saturdays April 9, 16 and 23 at the Baxter School for the Deaf on Mackworth Island in Falmouth. Grades 3 through 5 go from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Grades 6 through 8 go from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The cost is $35 for the three sessions. The clinic will have an emphasis on fun and learning.
