Falmouth names new athletic director

James Coffey will replace Cooper Higgins as Falmouth High School’s athletic director. Coffey has spent 11 years as an athletic director in Beverly and Winthrop, Massachusetts. Rob Sullivan will remain in his role as assistant athletic director and head athletic trainer.

Yarmouth Unified team’s season ends in quarterfinals

Yarmouth’s Unified basketball team finally met its match last week in the South Region quarterfinals. Yarmouth followed a 5-3 regular season with a 42-32 victory over No. 11 Sacopee Valley in the first round. The sixth-ranked Clippers then dropped a close 24-19 decision to No. 3 Deering/Portland last Tuesday to finish their second varsity season with a record of 6-4.
