North Yarmouth Academy has coaching openings for the upcoming winter and spring seasons. The upper school is seeking a girls’ basketball varsity assistant/junior varsity coach and a girls’ varsity lacrosse coach. The middle school is seeking a co-ed track and field coach. NYA to retire Roy’s number
North Yarmouth Academy will retire Travis Roy’s ’00’ jersey Saturday, Nov. 21 at 3:30 p.m. at the arena named in his honor prior to the Panthers’ game versus Tabor Academy. Roy spent two years playing for NYA and went to Boston University, where his playing career was cut short due to a paralyzing neck injury. Tickets to the event are $15 and are available at travisroy00.brownpapertickets.com.
