SMCC hoops teams stay hot

The Southern Maine Community College women’s basketball team, under first-year coach Katie Bergeron, was 8-0 at press time after a 64-49 victory at the University of Maine-Augusta last Tuesday. Jennifer Conrad led the way with 16 points and nine rebounds. The Seawolves looked to stay perfect Thursday at New Hampshire Technical Institute. SMCC is back home Saturday to host U. Maine-Machias. The men’s team extended its win streak to six last week with a 77-74 win at the University of Maine-Augusta. John Morgan led the way with 22 points. The Seawolves (8-1) looked to keep the good times rolling Thursday when they went to NHTI. SMCC hosts U. Maine-Machias Saturday.
