FALMOUTH — A recent grant for the Police Department to enforce speed laws has come to an end.

The department was awarded the $10,000 grant by the Bureau of Highway Safety in January. According to a press release, the covered overtime costs for officers.

During the nine months of the campaign, there were 27 details, 113 total hours, 177 vehicles stopped, 83 summonses issued for speeding, 13 summonses issued for criminal incidents, and 89 warnings issued for speeding.
