South Portland’s Cassandra Albano, left, recently represented the Skating Club of Boston’s Team Excel’s Synchronized Skating Team at the Eastern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships in Lake Placid, New York. The team came in sixth in the qualifying round. Albano, 15, is a sophomore Merriconeag Waldorf School. She was the only skater from Maine to take part on the team.
