South Portland baseball coach Mike Owens reached the 100-victory plateau May 4, when the Red Riots blanked Massabesic, 10-0, in five-innings. Owens, who took over the South Portland program in 2011, then improved to 103-48 with victories last week over Falmouth, Gorham and Thornton Academy. Owens has led the Red Riots to the Class A state final once and the Class A South Final once. At press time, South Portland was 7-0 on the 2019 season.
