Weatherbie uses education to give back

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Nathan Weatherbie, of Cape Elizabeth, is using his Small Group Communication class at Lock Haven University to give back to the community.

A junior at Lock Haven, Weatherbie – along with the rest of his class – chose to do the service project, rather than a presentation on small group communication. The class was broken up into several different teams and all were responsible for finding their own charities as beneficiaries.

Weatherbie is a member of Team America and is running a clothing drive for the Salvation Army. The team’s clothing drive will run through Nov. 18. For more information or to donate to Team America’s project visit www.lhup.edu/service.
