Benjamin Acker, 17, of Scarborough Boy Scout Troop 39, received the Eagle Scout award at a recent ceremony  after earning 21 merit badges and completing a  community service project. His service project entailed building a bridge and clearing a one-mile loop walking trail at Broadturn Farm in Scarborough. Acker will be a senior at Scarborough High School this fall.
