Biddeford Savings donates
to SHS student aid fund

SCARBOROUGH — Biddeford Savings recently presented a $575 check to Student Council leaders at Scarborough High School to help fund the Student Aid & Assistance Fund.

The fund helps SHS students who are facing financial hardships. Any student can submit an application for a grant, which can range from requests to help buy a prom dress, offset school athletic fees, or medical expenses. The fund has a balance of more than $8,000 thanks to the Biddeford Savings grant. While the fund is administered by the Student Council, the applications are reviewed anonymously, with only the faculty advisor aware of the applicants identity.
