Cape School Board honors
CAPE ELIZABETH — The Cape Elizabeth School Board is holding a recognition ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 14, to honor retiring Superintendent Alan Hawkins.
The recognition will take place during the regularly scheduled business meeting at 7 p.m. in the Cape Elizabeth Town Hall Council Chambers.
Audience members are encouraged to speak, if so desired. Refreshments will be provided.

Fiddlehead Center for the
Arts expands preschool
SCARBOROUGH — Fiddlehead Center for the Arts in Scarborough will be offering a new afternoon option for its Fiddlestarts preschool program beginning in January 2011.
Currently there is a morning preschool program available from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. An afternoon program will now be open for enrollment from 12:30-5:30 p.m., as well as an option for full-day enrollment.
Fiddlestarts is a small, Reggio Emilia-based preschool for children ages 3 to 5 located at 383 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough.

Dance students from South Portland, Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth will be performing in the Portland Ballet’s annual Victorian Nutcracker. Shows will be held in North Conway, N.H. on Dec. 18 and 19, and two shows in Portland at Merrill Auditorium on Thursday, Dec. 23.
