Scarborough students named Rotary’s “Student of the Quarter”
SCARBOROUGH — The Rotary Club of Scarborough recently announced the recipients of the Student of the Quarter Award for the second quarter of the 2011-2012 school year.
Sophomore Thomas Porada was nominated from Scarborough High School and eight- grader Emma Freeman was the nominee from Scarborough Middle School.
Each quarter the Scarborough Rotary Club honors one student from the middle school and one student from the high school for the Student of the Quarter Award to recognize and reward students who continually display citizenship, ethics, honor and kindness. Students may be selected by teachers, school administrators, guidance counselors or coaches.
