Scarborough High School preparing for fall competition

The SHS Mock Trial Team has begun work for another fall of statewide competition in the tournaments sponsored by the Maine State Bar Association. Coach Dan Warren says students are being recruited now to play lawyers, witnesses and other important roles. The team will hold auditions shortly.

Traffic pattern change on Wentworth Drive in Scarborough

The traffic pattern on Wentworth Drive will change to one-way from Route 114 into Wentworth Intermediate School. This will allow for a safe bus drop-off zone in front of Wentworth. Traffic coming down Municipal Drive from Scarborough High School must turn left at the intersection of Wentworth Drive.

Close to 80 students brought their drums, color guard flags and instruments to the parking lot and fields of Dyer School to prepare for the Maine Band Directors Association’s opening season of marching band shows. The shows begin Sept. 15 at Marshwood High School. Under the direction of Craig Skeffington, the award-winning SPHS marching band will perform music of the West, including selections from Silverado, The Cowboys and The Magnificent Seven.
