Scarborough offering summer track program

The Scarborough Track Club is beginning its 33rd season. Girls and boys in various age groups from 8-and-under to 13-14, participate in practices Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and compete in meets on Thursdays. The program ends with the state championship Aug. 9 in Windham. Scarborough High coaches and athletes provide instruction. Cost is $85. FMI, 730-4150.

SP coaching openings

South Portland High School has coach openings for JV girls’ soccer and first team girls’ soccer. Mahoney Middle School is seeking a girls’ soccer coach. Memorial Middle School has openings for seventh grade and eighth grade boys’ soccer. FMI, 767-7705.

Maine Basketball Hall of Fame golf fundraiser upcoming

The first Southern Maine golf scramble to benefit the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame will be held Monday, July 21 at the Falmouth Country Club. The scramble begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The five-man team entry fee of $625 includes two carts and an awards luncheon, scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. FMI, 504-6182 or tfmaines@comcast.net.
