Scarborough girls ousted in regional final
Scarborough’s girls’ lacrosse team saw its season end last Wednesday with a 16-3 loss at Marshwood in the Western Class A Final. The Red Storm, the No. 4 seed, finished the year 10-5. The second-ranked Hawks went on to win their first state championship, over Messalonskee.
Girls’ Golf Fair upcoming
The second annual Girls’ Golf Fair, presented by the First Tee of Maine, in collaboration with Women’s Maine State Golf Association, will be held Sunday, June 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the short-game practice area adjacent to the Riverside South Golf Course in Portland. U. Maine softball clinic coming to SP
The University of Maine softball coaching staff will host a clinic June 30 at Wainwright Farms in South Portland. The clinic is available for players ages 9 to 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and for players ages 13 to 18 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. FMI, michael.coutts@maine.edu or goblackbears.com/softball.
