SMCC baseball continues strong start

The Southern Maine Community College baseball team is off to a 5-1 start (2-1 in the Yankee Small College Conference) after sweeping a doubleheader at New Hampshire Technical Institute (3-0, 4-3) Saturday and beating Navy Prep (6-2) Sunday. The Seawolves go to Eastern Maine CC Thursday. Softball won its first two games, then fell to 2-2 after losing a pair of NHTI (7-3 and 8-7). SMCC is at EMCC Thursday. On the pitch, the women fell to 1-2-1 after a 3-2 (double overtime) loss to visiting U. Maine-Machias. The Seawolves go to Unity Saturday. The men sat 1-3-1 after a 2-1 home loss to U. Maine-Machias. SMCC is at EMCC Wednesday. Golf has split a pair of matches against U. Maine-Augusta. The Seawolves host a match verus UMA and Great Bay CC Saturday at Sable Oaks.
