SP coaching openings
South Portland’s school department has several openings for the upcoming season. At the high school, there’s an opening for a first team boys’ soccer coach. There are middle school openings for boys’ soccer and 7th and 8th grade field hockey. FMI, 767-7705 or living@spsd.org
Summer Softball Slam upcoming
The South Portland High School Football Boosters will host the Summer Softball Slam, an adult co-ed sanctioned American Softball Association slow pitch tournament, Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Wainwright Fields complex in South Portland. The tournament will get underway at 8 a.m. and will conclude with the championship game at around 6:30 p.m. The tournament’s entry fee is $250.
