Scarborough field hockey hosting camp
The reigning Class A state champion Scarborough field hockey program is hosting a high school level camp, July 19-23 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the high school’s turf field. The camp will be taught by coach Kerry Mariello and her staff, with special guests throughout the week. The cost is $175. There will also be camps for incoming grades K through 2 (July 12-14, 5:30 to 7 p.m., $40), 3-5 (July 26-29, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., $75) and grades 6-8 (July 26-30, 1-5 p.m., $100). Tim Thomas Hockey Camp upcoming
Current National Hockey League All-Star, USA Olympian, Vezina Trophy winner and Boston Bruin Tim Thomas will host a hockey camp July 26-30 at the Falmouth Family Ice Center. The camp is for forwards, defenders and goalies, boys and girls, ages 6 to 17. FMI, timthomashockey.com.
SP golf fundraiser upcoming
The annual Jeff King Memorial Golf Scramble, hosted by the South Portland Ice Hockey and Football Boosters, will be held Friday, Aug. 13, with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., at Nonesuch River Golf Course in Scarborough. FMI, Karen Hannigan 799-6307.
