SP resident earns Maine Baseball Hall of Fame nod

South Portland’s Bob Prince, a three-time Division III baseball All-American at the University of Southern Maine and a current Huskies assistant coach, is one of 11 inductees for the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame 2011 class. South Portland woman wins race at USATF Masters

South Portland’s Sue MacCarthy won the 400 meter dash and was second in the 60 and 200 at the recent United States Track and Field nationals in Albuquerque, N.M.

Former Boston Bruins greats to play in all-star game

Former Boston Bruins standouts such as Kenny Linseman, Ken Hodge, Andy Brickley, Bobby Beers, Don Marcotte, Frank Siminetti and others will face local male and female high school all-stars Friday, April 1 at 7 p.m. at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
