Katahdin holding National Festival tryouts
The Katahdin Field Hockey club is holding tryouts for its U.S. Outdoor National Field Hockey Festival team Sunday, Aug. 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland. Summerfest race Friday night
The 11th annual Scarborough Summerfest 5K and 1-mile races will be held Friday, Aug. 17 at the Scarborough High School athletic complex. The 1-mile race starts at 6 p.m. The 5K begins at 6:30 p.m. Registration fees are $10 for the 1-mile race and $15 for the 5K. The races are sponsored by the Scarborough track and cross country boosters. FMI, rkelly01@maine.rr.com.
