SOUTH PORTLAND — A small-businessman has thrown his hat into the ring for Maine House District 123.
Democrat Scott Hamann, a South Portland resident, wants to take the seat currently held by Jane Eberle. Term limits prevent Eberle from seeking re-election.
In a release issued Tuesday, Hamann said his goals are to support small businesses, assure the safety and health of children and protect social safety net programs such as MaineCare.
Hamann owns his own video production company. Eberle will support Hamann as his campaign treasurer.
