SOUTH PORTLAND — Organizers of a fourth annual Christmas toy drive are looking for businesses and residents to donate toys.

With an “Adopt a Family” component, which was added last year, people can also donate used or new winter coats and boots of all sizes, in addition to new or used toys.

Once collected, items are delivered by members of the South Portland Police Department and South Portland Cape Elizabeth Buy Local. More than 200 children benefited from the program last year.

Items can be dropped off prior to Saturday, Dec. 12, at Maine Roofing, 24 Bishop Ave.; Evelyn’s Tavern, 121 Sawyer St.; Port Harbor Marine, 1 Spring Point Drive, and Local Acapulco, 340 Main St.

Those interested in the “Adopt a Family” effort can contact Liz Darling at 767-4243.

There will be a Toy Drive Party at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, at Evelyn’s Tavern.
