SOUTH PORTLAND — Residents will have an opportunity next week to discuss the search for a new city manager.

Acting City Manager Don Gerrish will present an overview of the search process in a meeting at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, in City Council chambers at City Hall, 25 Cottage Road.

Gerrish succeeded former City Manager Jim Gailey after Gailey left the position at the end of July. The City Council hired Gerrish and his company, Eaton Peabody, to conduct the search for a new permanent manager.

Residents at the meeting will be able to submit questions and comments about what they feel are the biggest issues facing the city, and about the qualifications and background that matters most to them in a new city manager.

Those who can’t attend the meeting can email questions to Dick Metivier of Eaton Peabody at RMetivier@eatonpeabody.com
