SOUTH PORTLAND — The School Board is expected to decide Monday, April 13, if Ken Kunin will be the next superintendent of schools.

Kunin is the only candidate for the position.

Kunin has been at the American Overseas School of Rome since 2011. He has also been principal at Reiche Community School and Deering High School in Portland, and a senior research consultant at the Center for Education Policy Applied Research and Evaluation at the University of Southern Maine.

If offered the job, he would succeed retiring Superintendent Suzanne Godin on July 1.

Monday’s meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in South Portland High School.
