SOUTH PORTLAND — Police are asking the public for information about the robbery of a Mill Creek pharmacy over the weekend.

The CVS at 199 Ocean St. was robbed at about 4:10 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, by a man who appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s, Sgt. Steven Webster said in a press release.

The man reportedly handed the pharmacist a note demanding drugs, but no weapons were shown. Webster said the suspect left the store with a small amount of drugs.

Webster said the store was busy at the time and police are hoping a witness will come forward.

The man was described as between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and of medium build. He was wearing gray shorts, a black zip-up hooded sweat shirt, black baseball hat and white sneakers. The suspect reportedly covered his face with his left hand while he was in the store.

Call the South Portland Police Department, 799-5511, with any information.
