8/31 at 12:29 a.m. Timothy B. Gosch, 43, of Cape Elizabeth, was arrested on Anthoine Street by Officer Kevin Sager on a charge of operating under the influence.

Robber gets ‘choke hold’

9/6 at 5:48 a.m. A male clerk fought and successfully restrained a man attempting to rob a Circle K until a customer arrived and came to the clerk’s aid, according to a statement from police. The suspect had held his hand under his shirt so it would appear he was carrying a weapon, then grabbed the clerk and demanded all the cash in the register. Officers arrived and arrested Ronald Castrello, 45, of South Portland, who police said was still held in a choke hold by the clerk. Upon his arrest, officers found Castrello had 11 outstanding warrants. He was being held without bail on a charge of Class B robbery.
