9/25 at 1:28 a.m. Rebecca L. Rule, 32, of South Portland, was arrested on Anthoine Street by Officer Erin Curry on a charge of operating under the influence.

9/25 at 1:22 p.m. Chaun E. Rideout, 35, of South Portland, was arrested on Evans Street by Officer Philip Longanecker on a charge of making a false report.

9/30 at 4:09 p.m. Lance K. Graham, 37, of Hollis Center, was issued a summons on Broadway by Officer Jeff Levesque on a charge of displaying a fictitious inspection sticker.

Lost and found

9/27 at 4:24 p.m. A loss prevention officer at Sears in the Maine Mall allegedly spotted someone trying to steal a cell phone and some jewelry with a total value of $230. The officer called the police who arrived to arrest Brian Hendspee, 31, of Portland, on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. Upon arrival, officers searched Hendspee and allegedly found Suboxone, a drug used to treat opiate addiction. Hendspee was also charged with possession of a scheduled drug.
