Bite yields a slap on the paw

 5/29 at 8:57 p.m. Police say a woman came into the police station with her ankle wrapped in a bandage. The woman said she had been staying with a relative on Wythburn Road, and that she had been bitten by her relative’s ex-boyfriend’s dog. Officer Erin Curry investigated, ensured the dog had an up-to-date rabies vaccination, and issued a 10-day quarantine. The case was referred to Animal Control.

Vandal makes point on driveway

5/31 at 8:03 a.m. A Bodge Street resident reported that sometime overnight someone had emptied a box of roofing nails on his driveway, in front of his vehicle’s tires, with the apparent intent of causing damage. Officer John Bostwick took a report, and an investigation is ongoing.
