6/13 at 4:22 p.m. Amber Smith, 21, of Portland, was arrested on Maine Mall Road by Officer Steven Connors on charges of theft by unauthorized taking and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

6/13 at 10:21 p.m. Blair Wilhelm, 40, was arrested on Broadway by Officer Scott Corbett on charges of domestic violence assault and violation of a protective order.

6/14 at 12:31 p.m. Angelica Lantigua, 49, of Portland, was arrested on Maine Mall Road by Officer Steven Connors on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking.

Rum diary

6/13 at 7:44 p.m. Police were called to a Cottage Road store for an attempted theft, where a 16-year-old Cape Elizabeth boy allegedly tried to steal a bottle of Malibu rum. He was summonsed on a charge of theft and released to his parents.

Straight, no chaser

6/16 at 1:10 a.m. Police tried to stop a vehicle on Broadway, because they suspected the driver had a suspended license. But the driver did not stop and a short chase of increasing speed ensued. The officer stopped chasing the car and staked out the owner’s residence. Shortly after, he heard a person approaching in the woods. Derek Hill, 30, was arrested on charges of failure to submit to arrest or detention, failure to stop for a police officer and operating after suspension. The vehicle was located on a nearby street.

Bed time

6/16 at 11:20 p.m. Police responded to a reported assault on Westbrook Street and discovered that an argument between a care-giver and a 14-year-old girl had taken place. The girl was told to go to bed and allegedly became upset, threw a television on the floor and assaulted and threatened the adult. The girl was summonsed on charges of assault and criminal threatening.
