Drunk dial

1/8 at 5:06 p.m. A 911 caller on Jordan Street reported that his father was having chest pains and requested assistance. When officers arrived, another resident said the allegedly ill patriarch was just fine. The caller was drunk, police said, and was issued a warning for misuse of the 911 system.

Plowed in

1/12 at 10:54 a.m. Fire department employee Ron Doucette was reportedly plowing snow behind the police department on Anthoine Street when he backed his pickup truck into a parked police department vehicle, a black 2004 Ford sedan. A damage estimate for car was not immediately available, but police said the city would end up footing the bill for repairs, either through its insurance or out of pocket, because both vehicles are municipally owned.

1/13 at 1:02 p.m. A caller reported that tenants of a residence on Main Street had moved out and left their pet snake behind. When officers arrived, they reportedly observed other belongings in the apartment and said the tenants would have the rest of the weekend to remove their things. The snake appeared to be in good health, so was left alone.
