1/30 at 2:25 a.m. Stephen M. Johnson, 25, of Portland, was arrested on a warrant on Wermuth Road by Officer Brian McCarthy.

1/30 at 3:30 a.m. Nathaniel M. Hayes, 36, of South Portland, was arrested on Mildred Street by Officer Shane Stephenson on charges of operating under the influence and operating without a license.

1/30 at 9:49 a.m. Leslie Reed Becker, 48, of South Portland, was arrested on Thompson Street by Officer Kevin Battle on a charge of domestic violence assault.

1/30 at 2:42 p.m. Phalla Porng, 37, of Portland, was arrested on Maine Mall Road by Officer Steven Connors on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking.

1/31 at 1:02 p.m. Scott A. Woodman, 43, of Westbrook, was arrested on Broadway by Officer Kevin Battle on a charge of possession of scheduled drugs.

Antics lead to drugs charge

1/31 at 1:02 p.m. Police responded to a business located on the 1100 block of Broadway for a complaint about a man bothering customers. Officer Kevin Battle located the suspect and discovered suspected cocaine and Valium on him. Scott Woodman, 43, of Westbrook, was arrested on a charge of possession of scheduled drugs.

Back-up mishap

2/3 at 4:09 a.m. Police took an accident report involving a public works vehicle reportedly being operated by an employee. Police said the employee was backing a 2011 Chevy pick-up truck out of the public works maintenance bay on O’Neil Street and struck another public works vehicle that was unattended causing an estimated $5,000 in damage. 

Homecoming

2/3 at 11:58 a.m. Police responded to Wermuth Road for a reported residential burglary. They discovered that a former tenant had returned to retrieve some of his belongings. When no one answered the door, he reportedly entered to get his things. The 33-year-old South Portland man was served a written trespass notice not to return.
