1/29 at 12:10 a.m. Melinda Henderson, 18, of South Portland, was arrested on South Kelsey Street by Officer Chris Gosling on charges of furnishing liquor to a minor and possession of alcohol by a minor.

1/29 at 2:40 a.m. Daniel E. Ryan, 19, of South Portland, was arrested on Wemuth Road by Officer Jake Hall on a charge of possession of alcohol by a minor and on a warrant.

1/29 at 5:44 p.m. Patricia A. Woodbury, 70, of South Portland, was arrested on Veterans Memorial Bridge by Officer Jeff Levesque on a charge of operating under the influence.

1/30 at 12:06 a.m. Faisal I. Abikar, 23, of Scarborough, was arrested on Interstate 295 by Officer Shane Stephenson on a charge of operating without a license.

1/30 at 8:02 p.m. Kristen Rinaldi, 41, of Ogunquit, was arrested on Veterans Memorial Bridge by Officer Kevin Sager on a charge of criminal speeding.

1/28 at 2:04 a.m. A taxi driver called to report that a belligerent fare had stormed out the cab, kicked the car and attempted to punch the driver through an open window. After allegedly attacking the driver, the man reportedly stood in front of the cab and stared the taxi down, preventing it from immediately leaving. The angry man had inadvertently left behind his driver’s license, which the cab driver gave to police. Officer Brian McCarthy caught up with Alexander D. Van, 21, of South Portland, and arrested him on charges of criminal threatening and obstructing a public way.

Have gun, won’t travel

1/30 at 12:53 p.m. A resident visited the police station to turn over a small Italian .22-caliber pistol he’d inherited from his uncle but did not want to keep. 

Game on

2/2 at 5:56 p.m. A resident reported two teenage boys skateboarding in the middle of Cottage Road, blowing a whistle and attempting to divert traffic. When officers arrived to give an order to scram, the skaters were gone.
