7/19 at 12:19 a.m. James Albert, 49, of Old Orchard Beach, was arrested on Veterans Memorial Bridge by Officer Jesse Peasley on a charge of operating under the influence.

7/19 at 11:14 p.m. William J. Garland, 33, of Portland, was arrested on the Casco Bay Bridge by Officer Richard Habr on an outstanding warrant from another agency.

7/20 at 12:42 a.m. Timothy Aun, 23, of Saco, was arrested on Veterans Memorial Bridge by Officer Kevin Sager on a charge of operating under the influence.

7/20 at 1:35 a.m. Milena Vignjevic, 32, of South Portland, was arrested on Interstate 295 by Officer Ryan Le on a charge of operating under the influence.

Prank call of duty

7/29 at 8 a.m. A resident received a phone call from someone who claimed to be a “ranking member of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department” and demanded $400 to avoid arrest as she allegedly missing jury duty. Suspicious, she called police, who confirmed the scam and assured her police “will not attempt to extort” residents.
