4/16 at 1:08 a.m. Randy S. Bennett, 21, of Livermore Falls, was arrested on Gorham Road by Officer Paul Lambert on a charge of operating without a license.

4/16 at 3:53 a.m. Emily J. McClare, was arrested on Main Street by Officer Brian McCarthy on charges of operating under the influence and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

4/16 at 9:06 a.m. Todd S. Door, 30, of Portland, was arrested on Maine Mall Road by Officer Steven Connors on a charge of robbery.

4/16 at 12:23 p.m. Deborah A. Silva, 53, of South Portland, was arrested on Maine Mall Road by Officer Adam Howard on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking.

4/17 at 4:29 p.m. Tara Gassett, 29, of South Portland, was issued a summons on Philbrook Road by Officer Andrew Nelson on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking.

4/18 at 4:01 p.m. Richard S. Ellis, 22, of Portland, was issued a summons on Interstate 295 by Officer Scott Corbett on charges of possession of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

4/19 at 1:30 p.m. Margaret Faye Wilkes, 51, of South Portland, was issued a summons on Bonnybank Terrace by Officer Theodore Sargent on a charge of  negotiating a worthless instrument.

4/20 at 12:55 a.m. Aron K. Pepin, 25, of Biddeford, was issued a summons on the Turnpike Spur by Officer Scott Corbett on a charge of possession of marijuana.

4/22 at 6:07 p.m. A 15-year-old girl, of Alfred, was issued a summons on Maine Mall Road by Officer Kevin Theriault on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking.

Unwelcome advance

4/16 at 4:47 a.m. Police were called to investigate suspicious activity. Two women alleged they were assaulted by a man they had just met. The suspect, Christopher Seidl, 25, of South Portland, was located at a nearby address and was issued a summons on two counts of unlawful sexual touching.

Absconded hound

4/17 at 10:44 a.m. Police responded to an animal complaint on Darling Avenue, where two people were reportedly bitten by a long-haired Dachscund. Police believe the hound dog “absconded” from the Portland Jetport several days before, and the people were bitten when they tried to retrieve the dog from underneath a parked vehicle. The dog was turned over to a local animal clinic.

Alleged sex crime

4/18 at 1:06 p.m. A woman arrived at the Police Department to report that she had been assaulted in her home by a man she knew. The 43-year-old suspect, Efrem Velez, of South Portland, was located on John Roberts Road and arrested on charges of unlawful sexual contact, domestic violence assault and obstructing report of a crime.

Window pain

4/19 at 2:47 a.m. Police were called to a Wermuth Road home for a reported attempted burglary. Upon arrival, police noticed that the uppermost pane of glass on a second-story window had been broken. Police took a criminal mischief report.
