4/10 at 2:15 a.m. Brendan J. O’Neil, 19, of South Portland, was arrested on Broadway by Officer Jeff Levesque on a charge of operating without a license.

4/10 at 12:56 p.m. Peter A. MacDonagh, 18, of East Montpelier, Vt., was arrested on Maine Mall Road by Officer Robert Libby on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking.

4/10 at 1:50 p.m. Demetrio Aspiras, 78, of South Portland, was arrested on Highland Avenue by Officer Kevin Gerrish on charges of operating under the influence, refusing to submit to arrest/detention and failure to stop for an officer.

4/11 at 8:35 p.m. Kristine M. Jensen, 41, of Scarborough, was arrested on Anthoine Street by Officer Shane Stephenson on charges of violation of probation and violation of conditional release.

Unsolved activity

4/8 at 4:02 a.m. Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Fort Road, where a man and woman said they were pushed out of a vehicle. The woman reportedly was unable to grab her purse and it was allegedly left in the vehicle. Police could not provide further detail.

Starting small

4/10 at 1:58 a.m. Police were called to a Market Street business where a woman allegedly attempted to pass 13 $1 bills that appeared to be fraudulent. Police said the bills were returned to the woman and she left the area.

Cat and mouse

4/10 at 1:50 p.m. Officer Kevin Gerrish reportedly observed a red pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed on Highland Avenue. The 78-year-old driver reportedly stopped his truck and got out, but allegedly jumped back in and drove off. Gerrish stopped the vehicle again, and the driver reportedly got out and approached the officer. Demetrio Aspiras, of South Portland, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence, refusing to submit to arrest and failure to stop for a police officer.
