4/3 at 10:49 a.m. James Wholey, 49, of Portland, was arrested on Philbrook Avenue by Officer James Fahey on charges of operating under the influence, failure to give correct name and date of birth, and leaving the scene of an accident.

4/3 at 5:11 p.m. Harmony Snow, 20, of Portland, was arrested on Maine Mall Road by Officer Benjamin Macisso on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking.

Where there’s smoke

4/03 12:55 a.m. Officer Kevin Sager stopped a vehicle on Skillins Street after observing what appeared to be a young man driving and smoking a cigarette, with a young female passenger. A police dog was called in to help search the vehicle, where police reportedly found an open bottle of Orloff vodka and a knife with a six-inch blade. Megan Gross, 18, of Naples, was summonsed on a charge of illegal possession of liquor and the 17-year-old Westbrook boy was summonsed on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, illegal transportation of liquor by a minor, possession of tobacco products and operating after suspension.

The art of inspection

4/5 at 6 p.m. Officer Scott Corbett stopped a vehicle on Broadway that was displaying an inspection sticker of a nonconforming yellow color. A closer examination reportedly revealed the sticker to be fake. Amanda Atwater, 34, of Saco, was summonsed on a charge of displaying a fictitious inspection sticker.

Ocean Street ambush

4/6 at 7 p.m. Police responded to the Ocean-Sawyer Street intersection for a reported fight. A witness reportedly told police that a vehicle being driven by an adult stopped and a boy jumped out, ran towards another boy and began punching him. Police discovered the victim had a protection order against the suspect. The driver, Anthony Coreau, 38, was summonsed on a charge of disorderly conduct and the 13-year-old boy was summonsed on charges of assault and violation of a protective order.
