4/4 at 9:15 a.m. Joseph Morrill, 19, was arrested on a warrant by Officer Kevin Battle on Pleasant Avenue.

4/9 at 5:29 a.m. Mark Bologna, 28, of Portland, was summonsed on Casco Bay Bridge by Officer Kevin Sager on a charge of  operating an unregistered motor vehicle. 

4/9 at 1:45 p.m. Deidre Tripp, 25, of Portland, was summonsed on Maine Mall Road by Officer Steven Connors on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Two bottles in hand

4/6 at 5:36 p.m. Police were called to the Mill Creek Shaws for a reported shoplifter. Police found the suspect in the parking lot and reportedly discovered two stolen bottles of liquor. Alex Fraser, 20, was arrested on charges of theft by unauthorized taking and possession of liquor by a minor.

4/9 at 2 a.m. Officer Brian McCarthy was leaving Cumberland County Jail in Portland when he observed a vehicle traveling towards him and going the wrong way on a one way street. When McCarthy put on his emergency lights to pull over the vehicle, the driver reportedly turned the vehicle around, travelled a short distance before bailing out and fleeing on foot towards the intersection of Congress and Valley streets. Travis Horan, 20, was located and arrested on charges of operating under the influence, operating after suspension, failure to stop for a police officer, violation of conditions of release and refusal to submit to arrest. 

As McCarthy was leaving the jail for the second time, he observed a vehicle with vanity plates that was previously reported stolen. Portland police responded to returned the vehicle to its owner. 

Boy moved from treatment to detention

4/8 at 1:51 a.m. Police were called to Reardon’s House, an alcohol treatment facility at Youth Alternative Ingraham, for a report of damage to one of the rooms. Based on the investigation, a 15-year-old boy was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief and violation of conditions of release. He was transported a short distance away to the Long Creek Youth Development Center.
