SOUTH PORTLAND — In a special meeting Wednesday night, city councilors gave the go-ahead for the South Portland Farmers Market to operate indoors during the winter at the Hamlin School building on Ocean Street.

The first winter market will be held Sunday, Nov. 6. It will be held every Sunday 10 a.m to 2 p.m. until next spring, when it will return to Thursday afternoons at Thomas Knight Park.
