SOUTH PORTLAND — A Lincoln Street man was arrested Oct. 10 for allegedly distributing cocaine, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. 

Khang Tran, 25, was arrested by South Portland police on three charges of trafficking cocaine, during in a traffic stop on Main Street.

Tran, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for two counts of trafficking in crack cocaine. During the arrest, police also seized approximately 16 grams of cocaine and $3,560 in suspected drug proceeds, according to a news release from the MDEA.

A search by agents of Tran’s apartment at 278 Lincoln St. resulted in the seizure of 1 1/2 pounds of cocaine and three loaded handguns, two of which were reported stolen from Portland and Scarborough. 

The street value of the seized cocaine is $50,000, according to the release. Tran was transported to the Cumberland Country Jail, where he was held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
