SOUTH PORTLAND — Holiday Fest will be held Friday, Dec. 4, in Mill Creek Park. 

Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy an array of holiday activities from 4:30-7 p.m., including horse-drawn carriage rides and refreshments like hot chocolate and spiced cider. 

Santa Claus will be greeting visitors from 5-6:30 p.m. at City Hall on Cottage Road. 

School choruses will sing Christmas carols from 5:45-6:15 p.m., and the event will culminate in the Christmas tree lighting at 6 p.m. 

Hinckley Drive, which runs along the northern end of Mill Creek Park, will be closed to vehicle traffic from 4-7:30 p.m. 

The event is hosted by the city and the South Portland-Cape Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce.
