Jackson Hackett, 2, of South Portland, douses mock flames Saturday, Oct. 11, with the help of his father, Aaron Hackett, during an open house at the South Portland Fire Department’s Central Station on Broadway. The annual event, which coincided with National Fire Prevention Week, featured equipment demonstrations, food vendors, a bounce house and more.
