SOUTH PORTLAND — The National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education will receive about $1.2 million in funding from the National Institude of Environmental Health Sciences.
The announcement was made Wednesday in a joint statement from U.S. Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Angus King, I-Maine.
The funding will support the Community College Consortium for Health and Safety Training Program, which is responsible for training participants to protect their communities from hazardous material exposure during activities like waste site and disaster site cleanups.
