South Portland athletic director Todd Livingston was named the winner of the 2016 Bob Lahey Athletic Administrator of the Year award last week at the Maine Interscholastic Athletic Administrators’ Association banquet in Rockport. Livingston, who played soccer, basketball and baseball for the Red Riots before playing baseball at the University of Maine, served as an assistant AD at Greely under Jack Hardy, then served as Falmouth’s athletic director for five years before coming home to South Portland in 2011.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Todd during his early years in athletic administration and he’s my good friend,” said Hardy, now the AD at North Yarmouth Academy. “At Greely, I had the opportunity to see all the skills and gifts he brought to this craft. Most importantly, how he built relationships with his student-athletes. Todd has exceptional organization, a great work ethic and is a kind man, who is respected by all. The list of his initiatives and accomplishments goes on and on. It’s absolutely amazing how much he has done.”
Livingston lives in South Portland with his wife, Michelle, and their three children.
