No fare
2/22 at 12:52 a.m. A taxi cab driver complained to police that a man refused to pay his cab fare. When the officer confronted the man, the suspect allegedly admitted to not paying fare, because he did not have $15.70. Ryan Bourque, 23, of Sanford, was arrested on a charge of theft of services.
High speed chase, passenger armed
2/27 at 2:14 a.m.
Officer Thomas Simmonds observed a pickup truck travelling at a high rate of speed on Western Avenue. Simonds tried to catch the truck as it traveled towards Main Street, where the driver reportedly did not stop at an intersection and did not pull over when Simonds activated his lights and siren. The truck continued on to Route 1 in Scarborough and was forced to stop to avoid colliding with a tractor trailer. Kenneth Woodman was arrested on charges of operating under the influence, eluding an officer and criminal speed. The passenger reportedly was carrying a handgun and an expandable metal baton. Meagan Westervelt, 23, of Westbrook,was arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
Kids charged for fighting
2/23 at 10:42 p.m. Police were called to a Westbrook Street residence for a report of two fighting juveniles. One of the boys fled on foot after officers broke up the fight. A 14-year-old, of Biddeford, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct for fighting and refusing to submit to arrest or detention. A 12-year-old, of Shapleigh, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct for fighting and criminal mischief.
The hood
2/26 at 9:52 a.m. Officer John Sutton investigated a complaint from a woman claiming the hood of her truck was damaged while it was parked in the Maine Mall parking lot. Following a lead provided by the victim, Sutton summonsed a 17-year-old girl on a charge of criminal mischief.

A Nutter Way resident called police after discovering someone had deliberately blocked her in with snow and damaged her door. There are no suspects.
Shattering experience is pane-free

Police responded to a report that someone had smashed two car windows from two different cars that were parked in the lot of a Gorham Road apartment complex. Damage to one window was estimated to be $500 and for the other, $300.
We’re Styling, but not smiling

An overnight burglary at We’re Styling salon on Route 1 netted just a small amount of cash for the thief, who pried the door open to gain access. At this time, police have no suspects.
